Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring

Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring is a vital diagnostic tool in determining the presence of Clinical Hypertension versus "White Coat" Hypertension, as well as evaluating medication efficacy, and symptom analysis.

The patient wears a blood pressure cuff fit very snugly on the arm. The cuff is connected to a monitor that is worn in a pouch around the patient's waist. The monitor has been programmed to take readings automatically every half hour during the day and into the evening, and every hour from late night into the morning. Repeated measurements provide a more accurate diagnosis for hypertension.
